CLINICO-RADIOGRAPHIC EVALUATION OF GUIDED TISSUE REGENERATION USING COLLAGEN MEMBRANE AND BIPHASIC CALCIUM PHOSPHATE IN TREATMENT OF INTRABONY PERIODONTAL DEFECTS

Background: The ideal result of successful periodontal therapy is regeneration. Guided tissue regeneration considered currently as gold standard for Poor mechanical properties, biomaterials instability and lack biocompatibility regenerative membrane alone led to direct use bioactive materials in defect area. So, this study was intended towards evaluation effectiveness resorbable with molecule containing biphasic calcium phosphate determined by amount bone fill both clinically radiographically. Methods: A total 20 intrabony defects from sixteen patients were selected. designed Quasi experiment, a quantitative non randomized experimental trial. clinical parameters like Plaque index, Gingival Pocket probing depth, Amount recession relative attachment level recorded at baseline after 6 months using acrylic surgical stent following access flap surgery along collagen alloplast graft. Radiographic taken Orthopantomograph measuring the radiographic months. Data analyzed paired t-test Wilcoxon sign rank test. Results: All post operatively statistically significant. Clinically, gain 2.1±1.25mm pocket reduction 3.35±1.39mm whereas linear found be 2.81±1.43mm. However, gingival increased post-operatively. Conclusions: current showed combination yields promising results treatment human defects.
